The Citizen Bullhead is an iconic model, well-known among collectors — and even spotted on the big screen, famously worn by Brad Pitt. I’ve always admired its exceptional design, so when a client approached me to add a modern limited edition Bullhead to our inventory, I was genuinely excited.
The overall structure of this watch stays true to the original Bullhead line, and if I’m honest, I’m rarely a fan of re-editions — but this one is different. This reissue feels like a “restomod” for watches: a perfect blend of modern Japanese watchmaking and rich heritage.
This Bullhead is an exceptional find, and now you have the opportunity to own this rare and beautifully detailed timepiece. It’s the 1,920th piece of the 1,973 limited edition, a nod to the year the original Bullhead was first released.
Inside, it’s powered by the E210 movement — a fascinating piece of technology even from a watchmaker’s perspective. It’s a hand-assembled mechaquartz movement, meaning it’s quartz-powered but features mechanical chronograph components. It also includes an alarm function, power reserve indicator, and Eco-Drive solar charging with an 8-month power reserve.
The dial is a visual delight, full of intricate detail. Under certain light angles, you can see its unique “sunshade” texture, adding depth and character.
The watch features a stainless steel case, black ceramic bezel, and a sapphire crystal. It originally came on a leather strap (included), but this example also includes the original, model-correct Citizen bracelet, which was only available as a separate order.
This example comes as a lightly worn full set, complete with its rare carbon-structured display box featuring a metal plaque, and is backed by the international manufacturer warranty valid until June 2028.
