Offered is a unique and extremely rare "Barn Find" specimen – Longines Majetek ref. 261 with a manual movement Lemania caliber 3050. This military version bears the identical marking “MAJETEK VOJENSKÉ SPRÁVY” (“Property of the Military Administration”) on the back cover, which proves that this is an officially used model of the Czechoslovak Air Force from the late 1930s and early 1940s.
These pieces found their way to the heels of pilots who, after the occupation of Czechoslovakia, moved to the West and fought in the ranks of the RAF during the Battle of Britain. The watches on their wrists thus became silent witnesses to the courage of the Czechoslovak pilots.
Only a small number of these watches have survived. Their combination of military origin, authenticity and perfect condition make them extremely sought after among collectors of military and aviation rarities.
Longines Majetek ref. 261 is not just a timekeeper - it is a symbol of courage, history and authentic aviation tradition of Czechoslovak RAF pilots.
