Not only when looking back a hundred years, but even through my modern eyes, I find myself speechless at the sight of this watch. It is an absolutely perfect synthesis of craftsmanship, design, and the timeless aura that Audemars Piguet embodies.

This piece features many eye-catching details, but one that stands out to me most is the crystal—both its quality and the precision of its installation. The case never ceases to amaze me; it’s a true testament to the artistry and skill of our predecessors.

Every millimeter of this watch exudes refinement. The case displays remarkable lugs and sharp edges, the dial showcases a beautifully aged patina, and the gold hands are impeccably finished. And of course, the movement—featuring hand-engraved bridges—is simply stunning.

I’m truly delighted to present this ultra-rare timepiece on our platform, a watch that reflects both history and exceptional craftsmanship.

Watchmaker’s Technical Report

We present this timepiece in true “barn find” condition, meaning it has undergone only minimal handling in our workshop and remains in its authentic, as-found state.

The case retains its original decades-old patina and has not been cleaned, polished, or repaired in any way. The only components disassembled were the strap bars. The watch originally came with a low-quality, non-original strap, which we have replaced with our high-quality genuine leather strap, and mounted its original gold buckle to complement its character.

Overall, the condition of the case is excellent — the opening holes are beautifully preserved (please refer to the photos). Both the hands and the dial are well preserved as well, with the dial showing a deep, dark patina and nicely maintained applied indexes.

The movement remains in its original, unrestored condition. We believe it may have been serviced at some point in its lifetime, based on visible tool marks on the screws and an inscription on the case back (please see photos). However, the movement currently shows no signs of fresh lubrication, and it is therefore described as unserviced.

Despite this, the movement runs , and both the time-setting and winding functions are in good working order.

The watch has not been fully overhauled in our workshop, so buying it without our additional inhouse service, may be a watch considered as a found in, unchecked condition, without a warranty.

The watch may be purchased as is, or with our in-house servicing upon request. To obtain a one- or two-year warranty, we recommend selecting our service option. Please contact us before or after reserving the watch to arrange details.
